Process Operator

– This role will report into the Senior Operations Engineer.
– We are seeking  a Process Operator to join the Operations Team to run our Demonstration Plant based on Belfast Harbour Estate.
– This is an exciting opportunity to work at a recently built, first of its kind plant designed to recycle magnets for the production of Rare Earth Oxides.

– Operation of Demonstration Plant.
– Front line maintenance activities.
– Monitor and record process results.
– Logging and recording plant variables.
– Prepare plant and equipment for maintenance.
– Perform routine calibration of plant instruments / equipment.
– Carry out fault diagnosis on Demonstration plant process.
– Carry out sampling on process, as required.
– Support plant and equipment optimisation exercises.
– Understand and follow Risk Assessments and Method Statements prior to undertaking work.
– Ensure work carried out in accordance with company and regulatory Health and Safety requirements.

You will work on the day-to-day operation of the Demonstration Plant during periods of both office hours and shift working, as production dictates.

– Working knowledge of industrial / process plant and equipment.
– An understanding of Chemical awareness.
– Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
– Forklift licence an advantage but not essential.

– Self-motivated.

– Team player capable of engaging with colleagues.
– Willingness to learn.
